You don't need to move the car or find a second car for jump leads. Go somewhere with signal, send us the building name, the car park entrance, the level and your bay or pillar number, plus a location pin. A technician comes to the car with portable equipment, tests the battery and either jump starts it or fits a new one right there in the bay.
Most apartment and office towers in areas like Dubai Marina, JLT, Business Bay and Downtown park cars on several underground levels. That creates a few problems when the battery dies:
Some cars keep the battery in the boot or under a seat. Many of those have jump-start terminals under the bonnet, so the car can still be started where it is parked.
Cars in residential towers often sit for days while their owners work from home, travel or use other transport. The standby drain from the alarm and electronics slowly empties the battery, and a battery weakened by summer heat has little in reserve. Underground parking is cooler than the street, which helps, but it doesn't stop an old battery from wearing out. If your car is regularly left for long spells, read our tips on protecting the battery while you're away.
