What changes the price
1. Battery type
Conventional batteries are the cheapest. Cars with start-stop need an EFB or AGM battery, which costs more. If your car came with AGM, replacing it with AGM is not optional. Read more about AGM and EFB batteries.
2. Size and power
Bigger engines and cars with more electronics need batteries with higher capacity (Ah) and cold cranking amps (CCA). A large SUV battery costs more than one for a small hatchback. See our battery glossary for what those numbers mean.
3. Brand and warranty
Premium brands generally cost more and come with longer warranties, up to 24 months with us. Value brands cost less with shorter cover. Compare them on our battery brands page.
4. Your car
Some cars keep the battery in the boot, under a seat or under the floor, and some European models need the new battery registered with the car's electronics. Tell us the make, model and year and we will quote for your exact car. Our car make guides cover the common ones.

How to avoid overpaying
- Get it tested first. A loose or corroded terminal, or a charging fault, can look like a dead battery. Our battery test is free.
- Ask for the full fitted price. Some mobile services add call-out or van fees on top of the battery price. Check that the number you are quoted is everything.
- Compare warranty, not just price. A slightly more expensive battery with twice the warranty can cost less per month of use.
- Don't downgrade the type. A conventional battery in a start-stop car saves money today and fails early.
- Consider a jump start. If the battery is healthy and was drained by lights left on, a jump start may be all you need.

How much is a BMW or Mercedes battery replacement in Dubai?
European cars typically cost AED 300 – AED 1,000 fitted. Many BMW and Mercedes-Benz models use AGM batteries, which fall in the AED 400 – AED 1,300 range, and large luxury models can reach AED 1,600.
Why does an AGM battery cost more?
AGM batteries hold their electrolyte in glass-fibre mats and are built to handle the constant cycling of start-stop systems. They cost more to make, but fitting a cheaper conventional battery to a car designed for AGM leads to early failure.
Is it cheaper to buy a battery and fit it myself?
It can be, on older and simpler cars. On modern cars there are risks: a wrong-type battery, lost settings, electrical faults from an incorrect connection sequence, and some cars need the new battery registered. Car batteries also contain acid and must be recycled properly. We recommend professional fitting.
Do you charge to come out?
You get one full fitted price before any work starts. A call-out charge only applies if a technician arrives and cannot do the job, for example because the car can't be accessed or nobody is there with the keys.
