Lexus is Toyota's luxury brand and a Dubai favourite, from the LX and GX to the ES and RX. Many Lexus models are hybrids, which have a separate 12V battery that needs to be the right type and is not always under the bonnet.
Battery notes for Lexus
- Petrol models typically use a conventional battery under the bonnet.
- Lexus hybrids use a 12V auxiliary battery in addition to the high-voltage pack. On the 2013 to 2015 ES 300h, for example, it is in the boot on the passenger side.
- The high-voltage hybrid battery cannot be jump started. Only the 12V battery can be boosted, through the jump points the car provides.
- Battery registration: Some models need the new battery registered with a diagnostic tool and others adapt on their own, depending on model and year.
