XPeng battery replacement: what to know
XPeng launched in the UAE in October 2024 with the G6 and G9, sold through Gulf Star Motors, part of Ali & Sons. The X9 MPV and other models have followed.
Battery notes for XPeng
- The XPeng G6 manual places the low-voltage battery in the front compartment. The traction battery charges it automatically, but stops doing so when the traction battery itself is low.
- If the low-voltage battery is flat, the G6 manual allows the car to be started from an external 12V power source.
- Electric and range-extended cars still have a 12V battery that runs the electronics and wakes the car. Depending on the model and year it may be lead-acid or lithium, so we confirm the type before booking.
- Battery registration: Depends on model and year. Tell us yours when you book and we will confirm before any work starts.
